Working Hard or Hardly Working? [Thought Post]

If living a healthy lifestyle was easy, everyone would be in perfect health. An unhealthy lifestyle has been made a normality. We have been trained that doing less is better. That the easy way is the best way. That it shouldn’t be our jobs to even do the work.

Yes, going home to make a meal is harder than going through the drive thru and saying yes to a workout is harder than saying no. So what option are we most likely to choose when society constantly teaches that the less we have to do is better?

My advice for those who find themselves in this limbo is; don’t view health as a chore, but as an opportunity to live. To be your best, you have to be willing to put in the effort and time. You get what you put in to your lifestyle; strive for more, not less.

Are you willing to put in the work?

About Simply Healthy

My name is Kaytlin and I created this blog to help others who may find themselves at a crossroads with their health. I have been there, lived it, and found the path to happiness. I lost over 65 pounds and gained an entire new mindset on life. On a more personal note, I am 25 years old and live in northern Indiana with my fiancee Tyler and border collie, lab mix, Iris. I am a movie and music fiend and lover of the arts. My goals in life are to have a house in the country where I can grow my own food, do my part in reducing my carbon footprint, and reach as many people as possible with what I have learned on physical and mental health.
