Happy Body, Happy Mind

How do I feel? What’s different? Is my current mood a reflection on how I feel? These are questions I constantly ask myself.

When I had poor health, I never thought twice about why I felt the way I did. My body was constantly trying to get my attention, but I wasn’t listening, it turn, it directly affected my mentality. It was hard to be in a good mood when I physically felt sick.

When I began my journey to health, I didn’t realize the importance of self awareness. How just by paying attention to the process that lead to a bad mood can result in correcting and avoiding those moments in the future.

I made physical changes to nourish my mental state. Every action caused a reaction; I cut back on the things that brought me down and increased my physical and mental intake on the things that built me up.

My name is Kaytlin and I created this blog to help others who may find themselves at a crossroads with their health. I have been there, lived it, and found the path to happiness. I lost over 65 pounds and gained an entire new mindset on life. On a more personal note, I am 25 years old and live in northern Indiana with my fiancee Tyler and border collie, lab mix, Iris. I am a movie and music fiend and lover of the arts. My goals in life are to have a house in the country where I can grow my own food, do my part in reducing my carbon footprint, and reach as many people as possible with what I have learned on physical and mental health.
