Overcoming Struggles On Your Health Journey

Today, I write about overcoming struggles on your health journey. When you are on a health journey, it is important to realize it is not going to be smooth sailing 100% of the time. You will hit bumps and find yourself in troubling instances. You will be tested and you will have to overcome these situations.

I have been having a hard time the past couple weeks, facing struggles and getting caught up in my emotions (I have a post where I discuss my main mental struggle, emotional eating; check it out here). My mentality has been wavering a bit, but I have continued to strive to correct my mindset and keep pushing toward the life I have worked so hard to inhabit.

My advice is to dig deep down during those moments of struggle and find your strength and patience. You have to find that spark that got you on your journey in the first place and reignite it. Use patience to have a better understanding of your hardships so you can set yourself up to succeed, (I have a great post on patience and success, check it out here). Just remember, hardships will make us stronger and make us more equipped. If we can get through the hard times everything else will be easy breezy.

Anyone who is facing hardships in their health journey right now, keep your head up and keep pushing along. You will get though it. Check out this awesome book titled Choose Yourself, if you are needing that extra push. It really enlightened me in my journey and I still turn to it whenever I need a pick me up.

About Simply Healthy

My name is Kaytlin and I created this blog to help others who may find themselves at a crossroads with their health. I have been there, lived it, and found the path to happiness. I lost over 65 pounds and gained an entire new mindset on life. On a more personal note, I am 25 years old and live in northern Indiana with my fiancee Tyler and border collie, lab mix, Iris. I am a movie and music fiend and lover of the arts. My goals in life are to have a house in the country where I can grow my own food, do my part in reducing my carbon footprint, and reach as many people as possible with what I have learned on physical and mental health.
